Ingredient and chemistry disclosures
Red WingH footwear is oil-tanned leather, lining, thread, hardware, and outsole compounds. Care kits, conditioners, and cleaners sold alongside the boots may contain solvents, waxes, and oils. This page is a general notice; a product label or SDS, when we publish one, controls for that SKU.
- Leather uppers may be tanned with chromium salts. Finished leather in ordinary wear is not the same as the listed hexavalent compound in a raw mill, but California Prop 65 still requires a warning on some pairs — see the CA Prop 65 page.
- Some adhesives, midsoles, and outsoles may include rubber accelerators or residual monomers.
- Metal hardware can include nickel. If you have a known metal allergy, write us with the style number before you order.
- Care products: wipe-on oils and conditioners typically include petroleum distillates or plant oils. Keep them away from children and open flame. Do not ingest.
